Martin and Sarah Steinman purchased ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Manchester South in 1991, operating their franchise from their conservatory. In 2008, they expanded by acquiring a Manchester North territory, growing their empire to cover Greater Manchester. Martin and Sarah’s daughter, CJ, joined in 2004 as a Key Account Manager. Today, she is Managing Director, having taken the reins of the family business.

Hot on the heels of winning the HSBC UK Best in Class Multi-Unit Single Brand Award at the BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards in 2024, CJ Micallef and the team show no signs of stopping as they took home the biggest award of the night!

The Marion E. Wade award, named after ServiceMaster founder and former minor league baseball player, recognises excellence across all aspects of the business.

CJ and the Manchester team were recognised for their success at the BFA awards and standing among the brand’s top-performing growers.

Through unwavering dedication and a genuine passion for success, they’ve shown what it means to set the standard through their leadership and tendering skills to acquire new business.

This award, which the business last won in 2012, is therefore a testament to the recent successes and evolution of the business under the team, which was heavily restructured with ambitious plans for growth back in 2019. Having achieved all and more of their goals in the last five years, this award is proof of the exceptional growth and development at ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Manchester in recent years, as well as the business’s longstanding commitment to excellence.

Upon receiving the award, an overjoyed CJ said:
